Welcome to the Nobleton Lions Club

The Lions Club of Nobleton was formed in 1962. In 2018 we celebrate 56 years of proud history which has enabled us to make significant contributions to our community. Your support is greatly appreciated by the Lions, and those who we support, in keeping with our motto,  "We Serve".

The Nobleton Lions wish to advise local residents who may be saving used clothing for the Clothing Drive, usually held in November, that the drive will not take place this year. A local alternative for your consideration is the King Township Food Bank. They will be having a distribution on August 18 which will include a “seasonal Pop Up Clothing Giveaway, featuring Fall and Winter clothing.” Contact information is available on the Foodbank website  so as to enable co-ordination of donations in time for the back to school distribution.

The Lions annual Fund Raising Cash Draw will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the Nobleton Library Gazebo. Prizes are: 1st $4000, 2nd $750, 3rd $250. Proceeds support over 20 community organizations and community improvement projects like the new playground and pavilion at the Nobleton Lions Community Park. All Lions members have tickets available. Call Manny at 905-859-1331 if you need a ticket.

Lion Ken Hodgson Passed Away May 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lion Ken Hodgson, pictured here being honoured on his 95th birthday last November by District Governor Surinder Sharma. He was a dedicated member of the Nobleton Lions Club for over 50 years and served a term as President. He will be greatly missed by his community and by his fellow Lions. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Nobleton United Church, 6076 King Road, Nobleton L0G 1N0; or  Lions Foundation of Canada ~ Dog Guides, 152 Wilson Street, Oakville L6K 0G6.

2018 Guide Dog Walk

On May 27 almost 20 walkers and their furry friends joined Bev Berger and her Dog Guide Lotus (pictured) in walking to raise funds for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, whose mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them a Dog Guide. Dog Guides are provided at no cost to eligible Canadians, despite the $25,000 expense it takes to raise, train, and place each one. This year about $8300 was raised in the Nobleton Dog Walk.
